Lukashenko instructed to lift all barriers for residents of Lithuania and Latvia on entering Belarus

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has instructed to remove all barriers for residents of Lithuania and Latvia when entering Belarus. This issue was among the topics discussed at an operational meeting held today by the Head of State with representatives of the Government and the President Administration, BelTA reports.

As for co-operation with the neighbouring countries, the further work dealing with the right of visa-free entry and stay in Belarus for citizens of Lithuania and Latvia – extended until late 2022 – was discussed. Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed to lift barriers and blockages for residents of these states. In addition, the Head of State made a decision to cancel PCR tests for entry into Belarus.

As reported earlier, taking into account positive responses and numerous wishes of foreign citizens, the Belarusian leader made a decision to extend the right of visa-free entry, exit and stay in the Republic of Belarus for citizens of Lithuania and Latvia until the end of 2022.
