Lukashenko: I have no desire for our people to fight. In the name of what?

During a meeting with the staff of Zhuravlinoe agricultural company and residents of the Pruzhany District, President Aleksandr Lukashenko called on Belarusians to appreciate and cherish everything that has been achieved in the country, BelTA reports

“You must understand that no one will carry you on their shoulders, including me. I will help. But as var as understand, a person and a family are successful only when they first of all take care of themselves and their children. What the government or Lukashenko will give is just a bonus. Therefore, take care of what you have,” the President urged.

The Head of State drew attention to what is happening in Ukraine today. Belarus has become a haven for thousands of Ukrainians who are now receiving Belarusian citizenship.

“Just look at the way they work! They are happy. Why? Because they survived the grief, they endured the war. These are our people. We must not offend them,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.

“Don’t think that I’m planning some kind of attack, bombing Ukraine from the territory of Belarus and so on. I have no desire for your and my children to fight. In the name of what? We need to calm down. Ukraine is not at war today. Today, the entire NATO bloc and America, first of all, are at war with Russia,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

In his opinion, Europe would have stopped this war long ago if the United States had not continued to spur hostilities with the help of Poland.

“Therefore, take care of what you have and don’t rely on someone else to bring something and give it to you. We have where to earn money. We have everything to live and to work,” the Head of State said. “We’ll do everything so that you live normally. Just please don’t stop, work hard. Remember that this is what you need first of all. The state has always supported you and will continue to support you.”
