Lukashenko congratulated UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on his 75th birthday

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres on his 75th birthday, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

"Your excellent leadership skills and human qualities as Head of the United Nations Secretariat are highly appreciated today in the issue of consolidating the international community," the congratulatory message reads.

The Head of State expressed confidence that Antonio Guterres' commitment to the comprehensive settlement of emergency situations and striving for a concrete result will make it possible to work out compromise solutions to preserve global long-term peace and security.

"The Republic of Belarus confirms its readiness to maintain a traditionally high and versatile level of co-operation with you personally, with the bodies of the Organisation's system and other countries on the principles of mutual respect and trust," the President stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Antonio Guterres good health, happiness and success in achieving his goals.
