Lukashenko appointed Colonel Vladimir Bely Commander of Western Operational Command of Armed Forces

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has signed decrees today envisaging personnel shuffle in the Armed Forces, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports

Colonel Vladimir Bely has been appointed Commander of the Western Operational Command of the Armed Forces, being relieved of his previous position as Head of the Faculty of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Deputy Head of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus.

Major General Igor Demidenko – who occupied the post of Commander – has been placed at the disposal of Belarus’ Defence Minister until May 9th, 2023.
