The Industry Minister noted that, after the main suppliers of equipment had left the Russian market, Belarus was tasked with filling that niche, “If it had been not us, others would have done that – and it would be even more difficult to work in the Russian market now.”

Mr. Rogozhnik added that, in solving that problem, the markets of the far arc countries had been somewhat overlooked. “However, we already have a result. Supplies to Zimbabwe and Nicaragua have begun, and we have also made good progress in the markets of Uzbekistan – building a multi-brand centre of Belarusian equipment there, two more similar centres are under construction. Of course, there are the territories that the President spoke about: Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and others. We have set a task for ourselves to refocus 25 percent of our export deliveries to this market by 2030.”
