German Gepard tanks spotted on Romanian-Ukrainian border
Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns have been spotted in the town of Chilia Veche on the Romanian-Ukrainian border, RIA Novosti reports
The co-ordinator of the Nikolaev underground, Sergei Lebedev, has referred to his colleagues saying that ‘activists of the pro-Russian resistance managed to get photos of German equipment deployed in Chilia Veche’. He noted that it is still being clarified whether the Gepard tanks are being prepared for combat operations or for redeployment to Ukraine.
Mr. Lebedev added that activists from the Odessa Region report on the accumulation of large forces on the Romanian border. He was also informed that loaded trains have been continuously passing through bridges in Zatoka and Mayaki at night time in the direction of Ukraine.
According to the underground sources, several pickups with large-calibre anti-aircraft machine guns are stationed in the hangars of the inactive Izmail airport, which Ukraine uses to protect the waters of the Danube.
