Federico Sboarina: Verona forum likely to give impetus to Italy-EAEU trade turnover

Negotiations and agreements reached during the 14th Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona will give impetus to trade turnover and business ties between Italy and the EAEU member states – as stated by the Mayor of Verona, Federico Sboarina, during the official opening ceremony

“After facing the pandemic challenges and subsequent disunity between countries, we all now need to reunite the world, restore ties in the economy and, above all, in the agricultural sector. We need to discuss specific problems and specific ways to solve them. We appeal to politicians, experts and diplomats to repeat and remind to all that our Eurasian Economic Forum is an important and effective platform to discuss and solve many problems, to build humanistic economics,” Mr. Sboarina said.

He also expressed confidence that countries would move away from the unproductive policy of sanctions, adding, “A new wind may start blowing in Verona today!”

According to the Mayor of Verona, the city has become a symbol of Italy’s restoration in recent months. “Month after month, we have been resuming the work of many our facilities and events. We are happy now that the Eurasian Economic Forum has gathered in person – not only taking into account the reputation of its speakers and participants, but also because we are confident that strategic ideas for the future of our world will be developed here. We have faced new challenges but there are also new ways that create opportunities at interpersonal and business levels,” Mr. Sboarina emphasised.
