“We will prepare for a large-scale event: the Intergovernmental Council, which is scheduled for June 7th-9th in Sochi. A large-scale exhibition is also planned. We invite everyone to prepare for this event and take an active part in it,” Myasnikovich added.

In general, summing up the results of current meeting, he stated, “The rules for access to services for interstate transmission of electrical energy have been approved. A very constructive exchange of views took place on the document being prepared, which forms the common gas market. Moreover, the issues of the macroeconomic situation in the EAEU member states and proposals for ensuring the sustainability of economic development were considered quite seriously.”

According to him, the commission’s proposals on the mechanism for promoting economic development have been approved.

“We believe that the reasonable, efficient use of the potential that our countries boast enables us to ensure the annual growth of the total EAEU GDP within 4.5-5.5 percent while maintaining the internal stability of the economy,” he noted.

Moreover, an order was adopted to amend the regulation on the development, financing and implementation of interstate programmes and projects in the industrial sector. The heads of EAEU government also supported the proposal of the Eurasian Economic Commission to include in the Eurasian Agroexpress joint integration project transportation carried out along the International North-South Transport Corridor in the direction of Turkmenistan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of India.
