Han Zheng noted that the world is now facing serious changes and challenges, and – in such a situation – the BRICS countries represent the majority and reflect the main global trends.

According to the diplomat, co-operation within BRICS is based on the pursuit of peace and development. The countries are seeking to democratise international relations, so they play an important role in making the world more orderly.
