Belarus, Sri Lanka signed agreement on co-operation in tourism

Belarus and Sri Lanka signed an agreement on co-operation in the field of tourism, the National Legal Internet Portal reports

The document aims to strengthen friendly relations, mutual understanding, goodwill between the peoples of the two states, and also to promote familiarisation with historical and cultural heritage and development of tourism for the two states’ economic and cultural progress.

The parties plan to facilitate establishment of contacts between tourism associations and organisations, tour operators and agencies, to promote creation of favourable conditions for attracting investment in the tourism industry, to encourage mutual participation of tourism organisations in international tourism exhibitions and fairs held on the territory of the two states, and so on.

The agreement – concluded for an indefinite period – comes into force from the date of receipt through diplomatic channels of the last written notification of the parties' implementation of the necessary domestic procedures.
