Belarus’ Emergency Ministry delegation taking part in UN Global Platform session
A Belarusian delegation to the seventh session of the UN Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction – held in Indonesia from May 24th-27 – is led by the Minister of Emergency Situations, Vadim Sinyavsky
As reported by the Belarusian Emergency Ministry’s press service, Mr. Sinyavsky will hold bilateral meetings with heads of foreign rescue agencies and representatives of international organisations.
On the eve of the UN session, the Minister of Emergency Situations made a statement to emphasise that ensuring the safety of people, creating favourable conditions for human development and preserving the environment is the basis of international humanitarian and environmental law, while Belarus is always ready to fulfil its international obligations and actively participate in global initiatives to create favourable and safe living conditions for people.
