Belarus’ Ambassador to Kenya: East Africa is developed market with international business standards

East Africa is a developed market with global business standards – as stated by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Kenya, Pavel Vzyatkin, BelTA reports with reference to the Belarus 1 channel

“I have to admit with a certain degree of understanding that Kenya, the region in East Africa for which I am responsible, is so far not among the priorities of our enterprises and industries. Clearly, these are new markets, and this market is complicated – due to geographical remoteness and certain risks that are natural for any region and country. There is a certain inertia, good marginality, established commodity flows and schemes in working with our traditional partners," Mr. Vzyatkin said.

According to the diplomat, the existing situation is far from being satisfactory. “Everyone interested should look towards Kenya, East Africa. It is a developed market with well-established global business standards. Like any new market, it is specific, there are certain nuances here. As embassy, we are here to resolve these issues. We are ready and very much want this road to become not one-sided, but bilateral in nature," he concluded.
