About 10 twin cities to participate in International Economic Forum in Orsha

The 12th International Economic Forum and the 13th Republican Universal Exhibition-Fair Orsha Traditions will be held in Orsha on April 24th-27th, BelTA reports, with reference to the Orsha District Executive Committee

“The economic forum will be attended by twin cities from Russia and China. They will be both present in person and online. Digitalisation will be one of the main topics of the forum, and our partners will share their experience in this area. This will be the introduction of digital technologies not only in the economy, but also in the social sphere – medicine, education, tourism, and other areas. A delegation of teachers and pupils – who represent our Gymnasium No. 2 – have gone to the Chinese twin city of Qingdao, where they attend an experimental school, sharing the teaching and educational experience. There, they attend an experimental school, where they share their experience of how the teaching and educational processes are organised. During the economic forum, the Orsha delegation will also share their impressions online,” the Director of the Orsha branch of the Vitebsk division of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Igor Kosovsky, noted.

The participants of the economic forum will also pay attention to the Investments, Innovations and International Co-operation topic. The forum will also discuss topical issues of companies' activities, and experts from various sectors of the economy will make presentations. Enterprises and organisations interested in co-operation with potential partners will present their products and economic potential. Industrial enterprises will be represented at the PromAgro exhibition.

Interactive events will be provided for young people, such as the Business Idea Generation training and a business game. Traditionally, job fairs for schoolchildren and students will be held. In addition, the sports component of the forum will unite all generations in both traditional and new sports, including digital ones, for example, in esports.

Igor Kosovsky added that more than 50 exhibitors will showcase their products at the fair, and Orsha’s producers of food, clothing and other products – already appreciated by consumers due to their high quality – will be presented on a wider scale, as is traditional.
