9th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia launched in Grodno
Large-scale 9th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia has begun its work in Grodno, focusing on the role of interregional co-operation in deepening integration processes within the Union State
The programme of the event includes the work of thematic sections. The forum participants will discuss the process of import substitution in the Union State, issues of integration of the higher education system of Russia and Belarus, a single scientific and technological space as a factor in ensuring global competitiveness and security of the Union State, co-operation between Russia and Belarus in the context of the new international climate agenda, and also the current state and points of further convergence of the Union State’s legislation.
A joint meeting of the Presidium of the Youth Council (Parliament) under the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Council of the Chamber of Young Legislators under the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation is scheduled for June 30th. In addition, a meeting of the joint Belarusian-Russian Business Council and the 9th session of the Interparliamentary Commission of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation is planned to focus on interregional co-operation. A solemn concert will be held at the Regional Drama Theatre.
The Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia is held annually under the auspices of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia.
