Lukashenko signed decree on conscription of reserve officers for military service

On April 29th, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 179 On the Conscription of Reserve Officers for Military Service, sb.by reports with reference to the Head of State’s press service

The document envisages calling male citizens under the age of 27 into the Armed Forces and border guard services in 2024 who have been trained in the relevant reserve officer training programmes at military departments or faculties, have the military rank of an officer and are enrolled in the reserve.

The activities under the decree are carried out by Belarus’ Armed Forces annually on a planned basis.

The implementation of the document will increase the staffing level of primary military officer positions in the Armed Forces and border guard services, while ensuring the training of the mobilisation reserve.
