Zelenskyy said Ukraine has not got a single cent, and asked the West for $17bn

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Kiev ‘does not have a cent’ and urged allies to provide $17bn of financial aid, Reuters reports

As informed, in his speech at a conference in the German capital, Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the West to financially help Kiev now and in the post-war period. "We have not got a single cent,” he said, adding that Ukraine needs $17bn immediately for a quick recovery.

Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal clarified that this sum does not include the large-scale damage caused recently to the country's energy infrastructure.
