European countries are weak militarily, and Kiev will be defeated without the support of the United States – as noted by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, TASS reports

"Europe is weak today," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. According to him, the situation has improved slightly over the past three years, but – ‘in terms of the number of troops, combat units, the fleet, the air force, and drones’ – Europe is weak.

At the same time, he believes that ‘there will definitely be no victory for Ukraine without the support of the United States’. Despite that, he rejected the agreements on Ukraine, which are being concluded without Kiev's participation.

On February 17th, Paris hosted a meeting of the leaders of the European Union and the United Kingdom. It focused on the Ukrainian issue, but – as noted by French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou – it was futile. He said the weakness that Europe is showing in matters of its own defence is dramatic.

The talks between the leaders of eight European countries, as well as representatives of the EU and NATO institutions, organised in Paris on the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron, ended without any joint statement. As noted by BFMTV, this may be due to disagreements between the participants regarding the idea of sending military contingents to Ukraine.
