Xi Jinping urges Chinese military to focus on preparing for wars

The PRC military should focus on preparing for military actions – as stated by Chinese President Xi Jinping, TASS reports

During his speech at a conference on national defence and military reform in Beijing, Xi Jinping noted, “It is necessary to conscientiously summarise and apply successful experience in reforms, to master new situations and [understand] the requirements of the tasks, to focus on preparing for wars, and to have the courage to explore and innovate.”

Earlier, Aleksei Avdonin, an analyst with the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies, named the factor which deters the third world war. According to the political expert, this is the threat of using nuclear weapons.
