"I sincerely welcome you, Mr. President, to China. A meeting between old friends is always pleasing. Last time we met with you in September, in Samarkand. We had a very wonderful conversation, during which we announced the bringing of our Chinese-Belarusian relations to the level of all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership – and that served as a powerful impetus for full-scale co-operation between our two countries. This new status of bilateral relations should be filled with a new content. Today we have a good opportunity to develop a plan for the entire range of bilateral relations and to adopt a joint statement," the Chinese leader said.

Xi Jinping expressed confidence that the visit of the President of Belarus will be very fruitful. “Mr. President and I are united by a common desire to develop Chinese-Belarusian relations. We have been friends for years, and we enjoy strong unbreakable friendship. In the conditions of instability and turbulence of the international situation, China is actively committed to continuing joint efforts with Belarus to strengthen political mutual trust and practical co-operation in the interests of dynamic, healthy and sustainable development of bilateral relations," Xi Jinping stated.
