What experiments Belarusian cosmonaut take part in aboard ISS? From probiotics to 4D printing
During her mission to the International Space Station, Marina Vasilevskaya participated in several scientific experiments developed by Belarus’ National Academy of Sciences jointly with the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Roscosmos Corporation

The experiment included researching lactoferrin and probiotics. The cosmonaut was preparing samples in zero gravity, while monitoring the temperature and condition of the bacteria. After returning to Earth, scientists confirmed that the microorganisms had survived, which is a major scientific achievement.
Marina Vasilevskaya took part in the Standart Luna [Moon’s Standard] experiment for studying human physiological processes in weightlessness. Vasilevskaya used special equipment — the Chibis vacuum suit, which helps redistribute blood circulation and prepare the body for return to Earth.
Another crucial area of the cosmonaut’s work was the Uragan [Hurricane] project, which involved photographing and filming Earth, including Belarus, from orbit.
In addition, Marina Vasilevskaya communicated with universities and schoolchildren by radio, talked about life in orbit and gave a tour of the Russian Orbital Segment.
The mission placed an emphasis on the 4D printing experiment, carried out jointly with ISS commander Oleg Kononenko.
