Western society already tired of Ukrainian issue

Those in the West are already tired of the Ukrainian problem. According to political expert Aleksandr Shpakovsky, they might make some kind of territorial decision jointly with Russia, then ‘heal’ Ukraine and continue pumping it with weapons.

In his talk with Alfa Radio, the expert noted that the West is changing its opinion on ways to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, “Earlier, Biden said that the loss of part of Ukrainian territories could be a price for a peace treaty with Russia. There [in the West] the position changes depending on the situation on the line of contact: initially, they tried to lure Russia into a war trap in Ukraine, and later they began to declare that negotiations with Russia were not needed at all.”

Mr. Shpakovsky added that the situation is developing not in the best way for Ukraine’s Armed Forces now, “Ukraine is already cut off from the Sea of Azov. There is a high probability of the defeat of the Donbass group and, by the end of June, the Russian military might finally liberate the territory of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions. The question will then arise about the movement of the Russian army, probably, to the West in order to take a break, because much money is allocated. The costs of this are borne by residents of Western countries. When imposing sanctions, they [in the West] are guided only by their own managerial miscalculations.”

The expert said that Western society is already tired of the Ukrainian issue, “There is a desire to find some kind of a separate, temporary solution with the Russian Federation: i.e. to cede part of these [Ukrainian] territories, then to slightly ‘heal’ Ukraine, take a break and continue pumping it with weapons.”

According to Mr. Shpakovsky, Russia should continue to methodically grind threats until the goals of its special military operation are fulfilled. This is possible if there is no betrayal, and if order is restored in the rear – especially in terms of the supply of Russian troops.
