Western media misinform society about events in Ukraine
This opinion was shared by German writer and publicist Wolfgang Bittner in his talk with Izvestia newspaper, BelTA reports with reference to RIA Novosti
"Many people have gone hysterical, but they do not know what is really happening. As I know, Ukraine was already destroyed. I have heard that right-wing extremists are setting fires there, persecuting people," the German writer explained.
Mr. Bittner added that, for eight years, the eastern regions of Ukraine had been bombed and, as a result, around 14,000 people had been killed. However, the western politicians refuse to talk about it. "This should not have happened, but no one did anything. But now, when Vladimir Putin recognised the independence of the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Luhansk People’s Republic, the media have got alarmed," the German publicist noted.
