Von der Leyen plans to use ‘drone wall’ to monitor Russia’s ‘shadow fleet’
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen intends to use a ‘drone wall’ being set on the EU's eastern borders to monitor Russian oil tankers, RIA Novosti reports

Ursula von der Leyen made a statement regarding the use of a ‘drone wall’ to track Russian vessels transporting oil during her address at the European Parliament’s plenary session in Strasbourg on October 6th.
“I am talking about Pan-European projects such as Eastern Flank Watch and Drone Wall. The latter initiative is our response to the challenges of modern warfare — from responding to natural disasters to combating international organised crime, from monitoring the situation with armed migration to controlling Russia’s ‘shadow fleet’,” European Commission President stated.
