Volodin: refusal to issue visas to deputies of Belarus and Russia to participate in OSCE PA due to fear of the truth

The refusal to issue visas to Russian and Belarusian deputies to participate in the OSCE PA in Romania is due to fear of the truth and unwillingness to build a dialogue – as stated by the Chairman of the State Duma of Russia and of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, Vyacheslav Volodin, when discussing the formation and development of a common scientific and educational space in the Union State at today’s meeting of the 66th session of the Parliamentary Assembly in Minsk

“Look at what Washington and Brussels are doing. Just recently, we – deputies of Russia and Belarus – had to take part in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Romania, but visas were not issued, though they were obliged to. This is because they are afraid of the truth and communication, they do not want to build a dialogue. At the same time, they are pouring a lot of claims on us," Mr. Volodin said.

According to the Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, there has been no democracy in Europe for a long time: it is under the heel of the United States. “Moreover, it [democracy] does not exist in the US by definition, because there is no competition between parties there, and there are no direct presidential elections,” he added.
