Volfovich: Ukraine thinks over possibility to attack Belarus using fugitives

Unfortunately, the opinion is being actively planted in the West today that the Belarusian army can enter into the special military operation on the territory of Ukraine. Having succumbed to these misinformation, the military and political leadership of the North Atlantic Alliance and a number of European countries are openly considering a possibility of aggression against Belarus – as noted by the State Secretary of the Security Council, Aleksandr Volfovich, at a briefing aimed at informing representatives of the state administration on the emerging military-political situation in the country and abroad.

Mr. Volfovich noted that there is also not official information that some madmen are even talking about nuclear tactical strikes and the use of nuclear tactical weapons against Belarus. According to him, the situation around the country really remains tense, and there are certain tendencies of its aggravation.

“The West considers a possible entry of new Russian groups into Ukraine from the territory of Belarus to be one of the reasons for its use of military force against our country. The United States and the European Union declare that they will legalise our fugitives as a political force, significantly increase support for destructive elements, and aggravate the situation inside our country – also provoking a military clash on the western borders,” the State Secretary of the Security Council said.

Mr. Volfovich added that that the possibility of attacking Belarus is also being discussed by Ukrainian top officials. The fugitives who are currently on the territory of their country, the Kalinovsky regiment, Litvin's battalion and other illegal armed formations are supposed to be used for this purpose.

“Definitely, this heats up the situation, but there should be no panic and fear. The situation is now fully controlled and assessed by the country's defence and law enforcement agencies. The obtained information is immediately reported to the Head of State. The President personally keeps these issues under control. He regularly holds meetings, listens to reports and gives instructions – so there should be no panic. The situation is under control. The measures that are being taken today by the Defence Ministry, the State Security Committee and other law enforcement agencies help ensure control over the current situation and maintain order in the country,” the State Secretary of the Security Council stressed.
