Volfovich on MILEX: we demonstrate new military-industrial complex products on exhibition grounds, not on battlefield
The 12th MILEX-2025 International Exhibition of Armaments and Military Equipment is pleased to welcome guests and friends to the new exhibition complex, which was recently opened by the Head of State. This confirms our commitment to peace and our desire to showcase the latest developments in the military-industrial complex to friends and allies, not on the battlefield but on exhibition grounds and in pavilions. As State Secretary of Belarus’ Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich noted at the 12th MILEX International Exhibition of Armaments and Military Equipment, we demonstrate our openness and friendliness.
Mr. Volfovich stressed that the current difficult geopolitical situation forces our friendly countries to liaise to ensure national security and protect national interests, “We see that people are coming to Belarus today; our country is open. This exhibition is attended by 30 countries, over 53 delegations and around 10 international organisations, which demonstrate their products and see the novelties of Belarus’ military-industrial complex. The main areas are, of course, primarily mobility, rocket science, communications, electronic warfare, reconnaissance and unmanned aerial systems (UAVs). The military-industrial complex of Belarus is presenting its latest innovations here, which will certainly arouse interest.”
The State Secretary of the Security Council drew attention to the fact that Belarus has presented more than 750 exhibits today alone. At the same time, priority exhibitions from countries such as the Russian Federation, China, Iran, Pakistan and India are also on display.
“Many of the samples that Belarus is demonstrating today were produced together with Russia through joint ventures. This is an objective fact, given that Belarus and Russia are strategic partners. We have a Union State. Together, we are developing a strategy for protecting our defence space. We also have shared strategic documents, such as the National Security Concept and the Military Doctrine of the Union State. Therefore, it is entirely reasonable that we are developing a defence concept together with Russia. I emphasise and warn that it is not for attack, but for defence. This defence is to protect our territory, our people and our nation from what happened 80 years ago,” the State Secretary of the Security Council underlined.
