Volfovich denied Zelenskyy’s speculation about threat to Poland and Baltic States from Belarus’ territory

In his talk with the Belarus 1 TV channel, State Secretary of Belarus’ Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich denied Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s speculations about the threat to Poland and the Baltic States from the territory of Belarus, sb.by reports

The State Secretary of the Security Council said that Belarus did not threaten Ukraine or anyone else. Despite this, Zelenskyy began to scare the Baltic States and Poland that another Russian contingent would allegedly enter Belarus, which would lead to the creation of a strike fist.

“The policy of Russia and Belarus is not aimed at any conquests and claims. Before any aggression is unleashed, political demands are put forward. But, as far as we know, Russia and Belarus have made neither political nor economic demands on Poland or the Baltic States. Therefore, the events that we have planned and are being held are absolutely open, transparent; these are scheduled events,” Mr. Volfovich emphasised.

The State Secretary of the Security Council noted that in terms of both the volume and the number of these activities, we hold them much less than they do in Poland and the Baltic States, “We do not build firing ranges 15km from the state border. Yes, we have firing ranges left over from the Soviet Union, but we are not expanding the infrastructure or increasing the number of troops there.”

“In my opinion, Zelenskyy wants to provoke the situation. And today, people already realise (including those across the ocean) that it is necessary to stop this bloody massacre that is currently taking place on the territory of Ukraine. Meanwhile, Zelenskyy is so bogged down in this that he apparently understands perfectly well: as soon as it stops, someone will have to be held accountable. And the first person to be held accountable will be the president of that country, who, promising when he was elected to stop this conflict, on the contrary, unleashed it even more. Therefore, Zelenskyy is looking for some kind of trigger to further provoke the situation,” Mr. Volfovich pointed out.

Answering the journalist’s question whether the aggravation of the situation could come from Belarus, the State Secretary of the Security Council said that such an option is impossible.
