Volfovich: Belarus’ Armed Forces take experience of special miliary operation and other conflicts into account
The Armed Forces of Belarus take into account the experience of the special military operation and other armed conflicts – as stated by Aleksandr Volfovich, the State Secretary of the Security Council, following his today’s report to the Head of State on the inspection of military units, BelTA reports
Journalists asked Mr. Volfovich to what extent the experience of the special military operation in Ukraine is taken into account in the Belarusian army, more so that the Russian allies are ready to share it. In addition, the State Secretary was asked whether such elements had been trained during the inspection of military units.
“Undoubtedly, the experience of the special military operation and, in general, the warfighting around the world is taken into account in our Armed Forces. These changes have been made to combat training programmes. Of course, we focus on how this is taken into account during our checking,” Mr. Volfovich said. “When planning our inspection, we took into account the forms and methods of warfare that are being practiced today during the special military operation."
According to the State Secretary, the inspection focused on the teamwork of units in small groups, as well as assault units. Attention was also paid to the ability of military personnel to equip areas in engineering terms, taking into account the experience of the special military operation. "The principle is as follows: the deeper you dig in, the better you camouflage yourself, the more likely you are to survive and complete your tasks," he stressed.
The ability to counter unmanned aerial vehicles and use electronic warfare was also tested. "Of course, this is taken into account. It is necessary to teach military personnel what is needed in order to survive on the battlefield and fulfil the tasks set for them,” Mr. Volfovich added.
The State Secretary of the Security Council noted that the recent Zapad-2025 exercise also contributed to that. “During the drills, our Russian colleagues shared the practical experience (not in words, but in practice) they receive during the special military operation. This is taken into account in our Armed Forces when training our military personnel,” he concluded.
