Vietnam to be invited to BRICS summit in Brazil

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will invite Vietnam to participate in the BRICS summit in July, TASS reports

According to information from the Reuters news agency (which refers to sources), the President of Brazil intends to visit Vietnam next week.

The BRICS summit, which Brazil chairs this year, will be held in Rio de Janeiro on July 6th-7th.

BRICS was established in 2006 by Brazil, the Russian Federation, India and the People's Republic of China. In 2011, the Republic of South Africa joined it. On January 1st last year, Egypt, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia joined the list of the BRICS members.
