USAID changes its address

What the ‘viper’s nest’ of democracies looks like

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) merely cloaked itself in noble intentions while, in reality, it stoked colour revolutions, bought politicians, and funded military conflicts. What else was done under the cover of covert operations? How much did the corrupt training of ‘independent’ media cost? And will there be an end to the activities of this essentially criminal organisation of the American authorities?

‘We are getting them out’

Here is a brief overview of the situation. Donald Trump stated that he would deal with the ‘viper’s nest’ known as USAID, “It’s been run by a bunch of radical lunatics, and we are getting them out, and then we will make a decision about its [USAID] future.” Billionaire Elon Musk, who is also the co-leader of the newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), subsequently declared that the agency is a ‘criminal organisation’ that needs to be shut down. He also claimed that it funded the development of biological weapons (which, by the way, inadvertently confirmed information about US chemical laboratories around the world, the true client of which is the Pentagon).
Thus, the U.S. Department of State directly supports fugitive Franak Vecherko. He studied in the USA on the Department of State’s grants — which is not surprising, given that Franya’s father, after grandfather Zenon [Poznyak], headed BNF (Belarusian Popular Front), which was originally the Department of State’s project — so now he simply comes and takes money. Close to the office is the sister of the criminal flautist, Tanya (who calls herself a human rights activist). The Department of State created another fund to orchestrate the ‘White Maidan’ [opposition] and appointed Tatiana to lead it — a sort of financial shadow courier in a skirt.
In Belarus, the USAID office was shut down back in 2021, amid American discontent. The agency funded anti-Belarusian organisations, online resources, and companies. At that time, hundreds of such pro-Western entities were also closed in the country. One of the Trojan horses was the Honest People project, recognised as an extremist formation. Through it, they manipulated society on social media, recruited and united supporters, and prepared bots and trolls to collectively hate and overthrow the legitimate government. In total, the United States allocated hundreds of millions of dollars to undermine Belarus.
Then, media-like structures continued to feed off USAID from abroad. And now, when Trump has turned off the tap and frozen the funding, they are complaining. For instance, the Department of State-funded radio lamented: ‘Trump has signed a decree that suspends all programmes of assistance to foreign countries for 90 days. This has affected many ‘Belarusian independent media’, NGOs, and other projects... It is unknown when we will receive our next salary’.
Some announced their closure, others began laying off employees and begging for money from citizens, including from the EU, confirming that the European Union, just like the USA, is a donor for anti-Belarusian networks. By the way, they say that recently American and European funding has been decreasing.
Through USAID, economic pressure was also exerted on Belarusian enterprises, strikes were organised and funded, ‘activists’ were trained, and operations to destabilise the country were carried out.
Previously, the US embassy in Belarus reported that American support for ‘Belarusian independent projects’ amounted to about $140m since 2020. Another major donor is the EU, which has spent €170m on such initiatives since 2020.

Transgender grift

Recently, the White House provided several examples of expenditures and abuses by USAID, emphasising that such wastefulness has persisted for decades: $1.5m for programmes ‘promoting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the workforce and business communities of Serbia’; $2m for gender reassignment surgeries and LGBT activism in Guatemala; hundreds of thousands of meals for al-Qaeda-affiliated fighters in Syria...
USAID has devoted considerable efforts to advancing the LGBT agenda. The agency’s programme document was published with the unambiguous title LGBT Vision for Action, in which one of the goals explicitly stated was to achieve maximum inclusivity and openness in this area, as well as proclaiming the necessity to combat discrimination against proponents of the LGBT ideology.

Department of State-funded projects

A notably successful project for US intelligence services has been Ukraine. Enormous sums were allocated to various forms of lawlessness, drug addiction, corruption, murders, and crimes against humanity... To destroy an entire state that was once, perhaps, independent.
I am not even referring to whose pockets billions of US dollars have settled in Kiev and Washington, nor to the attempts to investigate the theft within USAID. I was quite astonished, to put it mildly, to see what (seemingly Ukrainian) structures Uncle Sam supports.
Just  last year, ‘Nezalezhnaya’ [Ukraine’s nickname for ‘independent’] received $6.05bn through USAID programmes, including $3.9bn in direct grants, which was allocated — on irrevocable terms — to... the state budget.
This includes the funding of all Ukrainian and ‘independent’ media, ‘journalistic investigation agencies’, ‘mass communication institutes’, ‘investigation centres’, ‘press clubs’, ‘activists’, various websites, and other dubious initiatives. Funding was provided to the secretariat of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada [Ukraine’s Parliament] for Human Rights, the National Security and Defence Council, the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications, the State Service of Maritime and River Transport, the Ministry of Health, hospitals, customs and tax services, the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre, the State Emergency Service, the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving, the Pension Fund, the State Special Communications Service Administration, the State Cyber Protection Centre of Service of Special Communication and Information Protection, the State Ecological Inspection, NPC Ukrenergo, institutes, universities, and schools...

Not popular and not spontaneous

A few words about the ‘popular, free, and spontaneous’ protests in Georgia: documents have been released indicating that USAID allocated $26.5m from 2019 to 2025 for ‘strengthening the political process in Georgia’. This is just one of many grants that the activists of Sakartvelo received for the Georgian Maidan.
...And finally, a piece of news for those who were waiting for the liquidation of USAID — the tool for intervening in the affairs of other states. American media report: ‘USAID, which dispenses billions of dollars in worldwide aid every year, will be merged into the U.S. Department of State, leading to a significant reduction in the workforce and potential funding cuts’. So their democracy and freedom will continue to march across the world.

AMERICAN BUDGET PAYS

Established in 1961, USAID has focused entirely on ‘long-term assistance in economic and social development’ for other countries. Similar to another promoter of democracy and freedom — the NED (National Endowment for Democracy) foundation, which has interests in Central and Eastern Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Eurasia. These US organisations have funded attempts at coups in Belarus and Russia, are closely linked to individuals involved in criminal cases that the West has particularly bet on.

NUMBERS

According to the organisation, in just three years since the start of the special military operation, it has sent $3.5bn to Kiev under the guise of ‘humanitarian aid’, an additional $2.9bn for ‘development purposes’, and nearly $27bn in direct budget support to the Government of Ukraine. A separate project launched in 2018 focused on Ukrainian ‘democracy’ is still ongoing, with $157m already spent on its promotion. Furthermore, $300m has been allocated to bring the Ukrainian railway up to EU standards.

LIVING OFF ALLOWANCES

Research centres and election observers, the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, the Central Election Commission, the Office of the Verkhovna Rada, the Secretariat of Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers, and the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada have all been nurtured with grants from USAID. In general, there are so many pages that a week would not be enough to study them all. Judging by the allowances, all of Ukraine is not an independent state, but rather a project of the USA. No comment, as they say.
