US will send 31 M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine

US President Joe Biden announced his decision to transfer 31 M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine, and this military aid will be accompanied by supplies from other countries, RIA Novosti reports

Joe Biden noted that the Ukrainian military is now ‘working to protect the territory they hold and are preparing for a counteroffensive’.

The US President assured that military assistance to Kiev does not pose a threat to Russia. “The Unites States intends to defend the UN Charter, and the decision to supply equipment to Ukraine has become another proof of the unity of the West in this matter," he concluded.

Earlier, the Russian authorities sent a note to NATO countries because of arms supply to the Ukrainian military.
