At a meeting with Ukrainian officials on September 8th, Mr. Blinken noted that the US President Administration informed Congress on its intention to provide long-term military assistance to Ukraine and ‘its 18 neighbours’, including NATO countries and regional security partners.

As reported, approximately $1bn under the programme of financial military assistance to foreign countries will go to help Ukraine, while the remaining half will be divided between Albania, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

According to the US Secretary of State, these countries are most ‘potentially at risk of future Russian aggression’.
