Ursula von der Leyen: EU gas prices increased ten-fold since pre-pandemic times

According to the European Commission’s President, natural gas prices have increased more than 10 times in the European Union against the pre-COVID level, TASS reports

Ursula von der Leyen mentioned skyrocketing prices during her speech at a session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

“Gas prices have increased more than 10 times compared to the pre-pandemic period, but Europeans are bravely responding to this situation," she said, adding that the EU has no plans to soften the sanctions imposed against Russia, since time for determination has come.
