Updated Constitution of Belarus published in three languages

The National Centre for Legal Information has translated the text of Belarus’ Basic Law into English – taking into account the amendments and additions adopted at the Republican referendum on February 27th, 2022. As a result, the Constitution is available now in Russian, Belarusian and English.

As informed by the National Legal Internet Portal, the Basic Law had been translated as part of the work on translating acts of Belarus’ legislation into a foreign language to inform interested parties about it both on the territory of the country and beyond.

The expert group included representatives of the Constitutional Court, the Foreign Ministry, the Justice Ministry, the National Centre for Legislation and Legal Research, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Belarusian State University and the Minsk State Linguistic University.
