Union State Supreme State Council meeting to be held in Minsk on December 6th

The meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State will be held in Minsk on December 6th under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the Union State Aleksandr Lukashenko, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

The meeting will be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, heads of government Roman Golovchenko and Mikhail Mishustin, heads of the chambers of the parliaments of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko, Natalya Kochanova, Vyacheslav Volodin and Igor Sergeyenko, who are members of the Supreme State Council.

The meeting will be held on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Union State Treaty. Its participants will consider the progress in the implementation of the Guidelines for Implementing the Provisions of the Treaty Establishing the Union State for 2024-2026 and the prepared Union State Security Concept.

The discussion will focus on the formation of a unified electricity market and cancellation of roaming in the Union State. The agenda also includes issues related to consumer protection and countering illegal import of goods into the Union State. The issue of organising and holding events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War will be also tackled.
