The UN calls on the parties in Ukraine to fulfil their obligations under humanitarian law and protect civilians and civilian infrastructure – as stated during a briefing by Spokesman for the UN Secretary General Stéphane Dujarric, RIA Novosti reports

He drew attention to the importance of respecting humanitarian law, “We reiterate that all parties must fulfil their obligations under humanitarian law, protect civilians and civilian infrastructure.”

The Russian Defence Ministry has repeatedly emphasised that when performing the tasks of a special military operation, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the military formations of the people’s republics of Donbass do not strike at civilian infrastructure.
