Ukrainian President Zelenskyy demanded $7bn monthly from European Commission

Ukraine needs at least $7bn a month as financial assistance to cover salaries and social benefits, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as he met European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during her visit to Kiev, Bloomberg reports

It is also reported that Zelenskyy raised the topic of problems with grain exports. Ursula von der Leyen, in turn, assured that the European Union intends to use accelerated procedures for crossing borders on this aspect.

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell visited Kiev on April 8th.
