Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada registered draft law on sanctions against Belarus
The bill on the sanctions policy towards Belarus, which is proposed to forcibly seize objects of property of our country, has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, initiated by the deputies from the ruling party of Ukraine: Servant of the People
The explanatory note to the document says that the main goal of the bill is the introduction by Ukraine of special economic and other restrictive measures against Belarus, which, in particular, provide for the definition of the legal basis and the fixing at the legislative level of the mechanism for the forced withdrawal of objects of the property right of the Republic of Belarus proceeding from the motives of public need.
The bill also envisages the expansion of the list of subjects to which restrictions are applied, and the expansion of the list of grounds for the termination of Ukrainian citizenship regarding persons who also have Belarusian citizenship.
