Udmurt Republic interested in Belarusian products

Belarus’ Economy Minister, Aleksandr Chervyakov, has met with the Permanent Representative for the Head of the Udmurt Republic under the President of the Russian Federation – Deputy Prime Minister of the Udmurt Republic, Mikhail Khomich. As reported by the Belarusian Economy Ministry, the meeting was also attended by Russia’s trade representative in Belarus, Yuri Zolotarev.

The sides discussed promising areas of co-operation: agriculture, scientific research, tourism. Special attention was paid to increasing supplies of automotive equipment, tractors, dairy products, cosmetics and other Belarusian goods to the Udmurt Republic of the Russian Federation.

Russian partners have shown interest in the Belarusian experience in potato growing and flax breeding, and development of co-operation in this area.

Aleksandr Chervyakov and Mikhail Khomich noted the importance of promoting bilateral liaisons through concrete projects of Belarusian and Russian businesses. An agreement was reached to organise a visit of a delegation of the National Agency for Investment and Privatisation to the Udmurt Republic in December to present Belarus’ investment potential, including the possibilities of its territories which enjoy preferential regimes.
