Tusk: Poland intends to regain lost positions in EU
Poland will try to restore its authority in the European Union, while Warsaw remains a loyal ally of the United States – as stated by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, TASS reports
In his keynote speech at the Sejm, Mr. Tusk noted, “Poland will be a loyal, stable and confident ally of the United States… Poland will regain its leadership position in the EU through [enhanced] co-operation." He added that Poland remains a ‘key element’ of the North Atlantic Alliance.
As previously reported, the Sejm deputies voted for the nomination of Donald Tusk for the post of Prime Minister of Poland, and his government secured vote of confidence in Parliament on December 12th.
