Turkish journalist: Lukashenko is really strong leader

The President of Belarus really wants peace in Ukraine, and is doing everything possible for this – as stated by Ali Jura, the Head of the Moscow Office of Anadolu Agency (Turkiye), who took part in the conversation between Aleksandr Lukashenko and journalists at the polling station on January 26th

“That was not the first time I interviewed the President. He always responds calmly. He is an experienced leader, and he knows his region well. Therefore, I wanted to ask what political changes should be expected with Donald Trump as President in the United States. During the press conference, the idea was often voiced that the Belarusian leader really wants peace in Ukraine, and it was clear that this was indeed the case. He is doing his best for this,” the journalist commented. “I also noticed that the President had answered absolutely all the questions, including the acute ones. It was obvious that they had not emotionally affected him. After all, he is a really strong leader. He has a special approach to journalists, as well as to his people. He talks with them and communicated with us like a father – so he is unsurprisingly called Batka [father]. The press conference lasted for more than four hours, but we were not bored for a single minute. The Head of State answered all the questions sincerely.”

Ali Jura visited several polling stations in Belarus. He said, “I noticed a very calm and friendly atmosphere there, and journalists faced no barriers in their work. I also noticed that your voting boxes are transparent, and this once again confirms the openness and transparency of the process. We talked a lot with people. It is obvious that the Belarusian people want peace and stability. People see that there is a war going on nearby and also in different parts of the world. Your people do not want such conflicts at home, they want to live in peace. Besides, Belarus is developing. The Government works hard to develop the economy, and I see that everything is fine in Belarus.”
