“We are closely watching the Bosphorus. In order not to face surprises at the entrance and exit from the strait, we’ve taken additional measures, installing radars. At present, we can safely say that there are no problems with navigation in the Bosphorus,” said Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar.

Earlier, the Turkish Defence Ministry informed that there were no NATO warships in the Black Sea and urged the parties ‘to act with restraint’ in order to maintain this stability.

In March, the discovery of mines in the Bosphorus was reported.
