The National Interest: Ukraine won’t last even a month without US and NATO military assistance
Kiev won’t stand up to Russia for even a month without weapons supplied to Ukraine by the United States and NATO – as noted by CEO of the American magazine National Interest Dimitri Simes, RIA Novosti reports
Simes noted that the Ukrainian authorities are completely dependent on the military assistance of Western allies. He also added that the supply of weapons from the North Atlantic Alliance may sooner or later stop.
“It would be a serious mistake to think that NATO should support Ukraine for as long as it takes without trying to find a diplomatic solution to a conflict that could easily spiral out of control,” Simes said.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the North Atlantic Alliance intends to provide the Ukrainian side with fuel, clothing and everything necessary for fighting in the winter.
