Lukashenko pardoned German citizen Krieger

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has decided to pardon German citizen Rico Krieger, sb.by reports with reference to the Head of State’s press service Rico Krieger was found guilty under six articles of Belarus’ Criminal Code and was sentenced by court to an exceptional measure of punishment. As previously reported, Krieger appealed to the President of Belarus with a request for pardon. Taking into account all the circumstances, the Head of State has decided to pardon.

Lawyer of Germany’s Krieger counting on Presidential pardon for his client

After today’s meeting with the Head of State, lawyer Vladimir Gorbach, who defended German citizen Rico Krieger in court, told journalists that he is counting on a Presidential pardon for his client, BelTA reports photo: www.belta.by “I assess this conversation as frank. I believe that the President heard the opinion of all the parties who were present during the conversation. We are counting on an act of humanity that the Head of State will accept,” the lawyer said.
