Syrian Ambassador: we stand in solidarity with Belarus in opposing sanctions

This was stated by Mohammad Aloumrani, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Syrian Arab Republic to Belarus, as he met the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Vladimir Andreichenko

The diplomat thanked Belarus, which supported Syria in the last long armed conflict, and noted that our countries boast friendly and professional relations.

“Today we are meeting with the Chairman of the House of Representatives to discuss interaction between our two friendly countries. Political relations between us are very strong and highly developed. We also strive to develop co-operation in the economic, cultural and inter-parliamentary areas,” noted the Ambassador.

The diplomat stressed that the Syrian Republic highly appreciates our country’s position, which supported them in difficult times.

“Today Belarus is under pressure, which is manifested in the form of sanctions and economic blockade. We have experienced similar measures of influence. I want to assure you that we stand in full solidarity with your country in opposing these sanctions. For our part, we will do everything for the development of bilateral relations,” stated Mohammad Aloumrani.
