Haitham bin Tariq Al Said expressed gratitude for the hospitable reception and noted that he was glad to be on a visit to Belarus. He recalled that Aleksandr Lukashenko had previously visited Oman.

“We are in your country today to monitor how our previous agreements are progressing. Since your visit to Oman last year, we have already achieved a lot. At the same time, there remains much unrealised potential, and we will be able to realise it with your help, thanks to the co-operation of the governments of our two countries. We are ready to welcome you in Oman at any time," Haitham bin Tariq Al Said addressed the Belarusian leader.

Aleksandr Lukashenko paid a working visit to Oman in December 2024. The parties highly appreciated the strengthening of bilateral contacts and stressed the importance of intensifying partnership in the economic, political and cultural spheres. During today’s talks in Minsk, the leaders will discuss how the implementation of the agreements reached during that visit is progressing.
