State Secretary of Union State on MAZ equipment
The equipment of Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) can be called an exemplary product of the Union State – as noted by Sergei Glazyev, the State Secretary of the Union State, during a working visit to the enterprise, the MAZ press service reports
The State Secretary assessed the enterprise’s production scale and development prospects, as well as the potential for increasing the production of cargo and passenger vehicles.
“I am pleasantly surprised by the technical level, the quality of the products and the organisation of production management. It is a truly advanced enterprise by world standards,” he stressed. “We see a vivid and very good example of high-tech products manufactured and assembled in Belarus using Russian construction materials, components and engines. This is valuable co-operation, especially in the field of high added value, and this is what our common economic space should be working towards.”
The guest was informed that the level of added value created by Belarusian production and Russian equipment reaches 98 percent for a number of positions.
“MAZ is, one might say, an exemplary product of the Union State,” Mr. Glazyev concluded.
Minsk Automobile Plant is the flagship of Belarus’ automotive industry, specialising in the production of cargo, passenger, trailer and special equipment. The company manufactures about 500 models and modifications of on-board and all-wheel drive vehicles, dump trucks, chassis, tractors, timber trucks, trailers and semi-trailers, cranes, special equipment, alongside about 15 models of buses, trolleybuses, and electric buses.
