State Border Committee: volunteers helping refugees sue Polish border guards for false statements

Volunteers helping refugees at the Polish border once again provide facts that confirm the lies of the Polish border guards about the events at the border – as reported by the State Border Committee of Belarus in its Telegram channel

According to the State Border Committee, this refers to the incident that occurred on January 7th. Activists asked to call an ambulance at the border to rescue three refugees who had signs of hypothermia and lost consciousness. The volunteers gave the co-ordinates to the Polish services, but they allegedly could not find the specified place for several hours. People were rescued, but a day later the Polish Border Guard accused the activists of obstructing the provision of aid.

“In response to the brazen lie, the volunteers published the records of conversations with service dispatchers, which prove that Grupa Granica representatives were waiting for help at the scene of the incident for a long time,” the State Border Committee reported.

In this regard, the activists demand that the border guards be held accountable for false accusations and file a lawsuit for insulting volunteers.
