State Border Committee: Lithuanian barbed wire continues to kill animals

On June 15^th, a border patrol, while monitoring a section of the border with Lithuania in the Braslav District, discovered the corpse of an elk – as reported in the Telegram channel of the State Border Committee of Belarus

As reported in the department, the Lithuanian barbed-wire fence inflicted deep wounds on the animal heading for Belarusian territory, which turned out to be fatal. The incident took place during the daytime.

Since the beginning of the month, this is the third case of the death of an animal due to dangerous barriers installed on the Lithuanian road.
