State Border Committee: 1m+ foreigners used Belarus’ visa-free regime over three years

More than 1 million foreigners have visited Belarus in three years of operation of the country’s visa-free regime, sb.by reports with reference to the State Border Committee

As recalled by the source, the visa-free entry was introduced in Belarus for citizens of neighbouring European countries by a Presidential decree on April 15th, 2022, and – over the past three years – 1,062,746 foreigners have used it to visit the republic: 610,896 citizens of Lithuania, 261,419 citizens and 80,134 non-citizens of Latvia, and 110,297 citizens of Poland.

Since July 19th last year, 35 more countries have been added to the list of states that are allowed visa-free entry. By now, 22,853 of their citizens have visited Belarus.

As recalled by the State Border Committee, the Head of State made a decision to extend the visa-free entry for citizens of 38 European countries: foreigners will be able to come to Belarus without a visa until December 31st, 2025, inclusive.
